Helped build and maintain 173 websites under the MedStar Health umbrella utilizing WordPress multisite running on AWS, load balancing, and auto-scaling. Most sites had both shared and custom plugins and themes. Themes and child themes were customized to suit the needs of the individual hospital, specialty, Urgent care clinic, etc.
As part of the Maxx Potential team, I worked full-time on the MedStar Health WordPress project for more than 7 years. I routinely worked with multiple teams including the MedStar Health digital marketing team and management.
I started as part of the original build team in late 2014, as the build came to completion I transitioned to full-time O&M. In this role, I helped maintain the site by ensuring regular updates and troubleshooting issues as they arose. I customized themes, built custom features, widgets, page templates, and plugins and managed our teams Jira board. I also helped manage 3000+ MedStar Health users as needed.
